HONEYMOON!

For our Honeymoon we went to California. We spent a couple of days in Anaheim and then a couple in San Diego. On our first night we drove to Vegas. On our one day in Vegas we went to the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay and looked at the Hoover Dam. Then we drove the rest of the way to Anaheim.

In Anaheim we went to the All Star Home Run Derby and Disneyland. The home run derby was a lot of fun. Andy loved it except the winner. He also loved Disneyland (it was his first time). We went all day and just had sooo much fun. We then made our way to San Diego.

Our first day in San Diego we went to the beach and explored a little in Old Town. The next day we went to the San Diego Temple, downtown and to Croce's to eat. Here are some pictures of the wonderful trip!

Overall, the wedding was a beautiful success. There were some frantic moments of getting last things in order, but otherwise it was perfect. I woke up in the morning and was able to get ready at a relaxed pace. One of my bridesmaids, Nancy, did my hair. She gave me a wonderful updo. Then my other bridesmaid, Katie, enhanced my natural beauty with some makeup. It was then time to move to the temple. When I got there they got me dressed up pretty quick. We got some records in order and than had some time to relax while we waited for the sealing. It was one of the most amazing experiences. I was able to have many of my family and friends present as I was sealed to my best friend.

As we exited the temple we were greeted by a larger crowd of supporters. Our photographer posed, moved and directed us to help us preserve the memories of our day. I was so grateful that the luncheon followed. I was starving and thirsty! The luncheon was very special. a nice lunch was provided and the bridesmaids and groomsmen shared touching remarks as we started our life together.

The reception was then held at The Rose Shop. It was all around gorgeous. There were spectacular arrangements throughout the reception center. It was such a blessing to then share our evening with many special friends. Thanks to all those who were there to support us in the beginning of our new life! It means a lot to us!

Engaged.

On April 23, 2010 Andy proposed to me. Here is the story:

A couple of friends had a reception on the 23rd. Andy and I had planned to attend. After mingling at the reception, Andy said let's go get some dinner. We decided on Puerto Vallarta. AFter eating some delicious mexican food, I asked Andy what we were going to do next. He replied, "Why don't we go grab a movie from my apartment and we will go watch it at your house or my parents." When we went into Andy's apartment to grab the movie, there was a huge box on the floor with a rose and note on top. It read, "Emily: Inside this box is to show how much you mean to me." I started to open the box and found another box and then another box. I continued to open boxes until there was a small one that looked like a ring box. I opened it and there was a frootie tootsie roll. I opened it and wrapped around the tootsie roll was a little note. It read, "I've always said frooties are a little piece of heaven. Now, if you want more than that, go to the mailbox of Steaven (Steve, Andy's Brother)."

This took us to Steve's house. Andy was trying to be all secretive about the proposal. When we went to the mailbox Andy's mom was watching Steve's boys. We talked for a minute and grabbed the next clue without her knowing. The second clue read, "Remember the time I played Cat's 20 greatest songs? Go to the room where he took away all our wrongs."

From Steve's we went to Andy's parent's house. In their computer room I found yet another clue. This one was pretty smooth and easy. The third clue read, "I've often read your phone to say that I'll be going there someday. You know my game, I do what I do, On these grounds you'll find another clue."

This clue made me crazy. Andy told me that he had Steve hide a clue on the temple grounds and he didn't know where it was. So I started looking around and looking around. I looked high and I looked low, but no clue. As I was looking at a tree, I turned around and Andy was down on his knee with a little box. He then said some adorable things and asked me to marry him. I said yes! then said, "Let's get this ring to some light so I can see it!" Then we went around and shared the great news. The date we set was July 9, 2010.

More to come: Wedding, Honeymoon, Life and more!
